You know, Lucy's method was to push down on Linus' head every time she walked by him. I think it worked, too, because I'm pretty sure he never grew.

Not me. I celebrate every birthday and every milestone. The less they wake me up at night & need me every second, the more they are their own people, the more interesting they are. What did Indiana Jones' dad say? "You left home just as you were starting to get interesting." Yeah, that would be us.

Dolly can bathe all by herself now, and we're teaching Cowboy. It is AMAZING to say, "go take your bath" and not be breaking my back leaning over that tub & cracking my knees on the tile floor every night. AMAZING.

GOOD GAWD your post made me emotional. I am not PMSing so the emotions must have been real. I swear I get chocked up every time my daughter walks out of her bedroom looking like the teenager she now is. Last week I came across a picture of her as a baby and I damn near needed crisis counseling.

As much as some parts of parenting SUCK, most moments are amazing and pass so fast and having to let go sucks even more.

Boy do I know how you feel. It goes too quickly. Every time I complain to Mr. M about how fast he's growing, he BEGS me to buy him Oscar Myer Lunchables (I told him they would stunt his growth).
